There are an estimated 476 million Indigenous Peoples spread across 70 countries worldwide. I lack the space to map the torturous route of finding a day for the US government to honor them, or for The United Nations to recognize their rights in a declaration.

Ukrainian artists — performing artists and creative artists alike – have been coming to the aid of their country, donating time, concerts, etc., and doing so unapologetically for being artists and not in uniform. I find this quite moving, and it got me thinking about women and art.

Some readers write me that they find these blogposts helpful on the sanity front, but that they’re still exhausted, weary of fighting, and fearful about escalating struggles during next year’s elections. Oh, how I understand.

These days, most of us are feeling lost. We don't quite know where we are, so we can't work out where we're going—as individuals, as citizens, as members of the human species.
